Redwood forest

$50.00

The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness" - John Muir.

Taken in Muir Woods National Monument park, north of San Francisco known as the Golden Gate national recreation area; Muir Woods is the first National Monument (1908), dedicated to the preservation of forests in the United States. The attraction of Muir Woods are the giant Sequoia trees (Sequoia sempervirens) better known as redwood trees. Sequoia trees are one of the tallest trees in the world. While they can grow to nearly 380 feet, the tallest tree in the Muir Woods is 258 feet. The tallest Sequoia trees can be found in other redwood forests in Northern California particularly in the  Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
